Blessings to you today my friend!
I’m so thankful you stopped by.
I’m continuing with our new format –
it is more conversational –
it is simply to be a time for sharing with you what God is teaching me about Himself and His ways
you too may draw closer to Him
know how much He loves you.
Our conversation today is about revival — spiritual revival — the fresh outpouring of God’s Spirit upon us.
A renewed walk with the living God.
My friend – God is calling us – He is urging us to turn from wickedness and spiritual apathy
and to discover again His love, forgiveness, and protection.
I read that what God speaks to nations – He first speaks to individuals – to you and me.
Our hearts should therefore cry out right NOW to the Lord as in Habakkuk 3:2 —
“Start revival in my nation, O Lord, by first starting it in me.”
The beautiful lyrics below are but one verse from a song that speaks about spiritual revival:
“Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
look full in His wonderful face,
and the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
in the light of His glory and grace.”
I believe in my heart that anyone who does this will NEVER be the same again
and will then begin to truly seek Jesus.
Jeremiah 29:13-14 —
“You will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord.”
Personally, I know from experience that seeking God and being in His presence –
praying and listening for His still small voice –
helps me stay focused on Him
hear what He wants to do through me and in me.
Thus on today – I am led to speak about the REVIVAL of believers in churches.
Remembering on the day of Pentecost, the disciples were gathered together in one place, and their hearts were in one accord.
We too must gather together and pray with fellow believers with our hearts in one accord.
We must ask God to help us turn back to Him.
We must pray for a spiritual revival that transforms lives, empowers pastors, other leaders and electrifies believers with
Holy Ghost POWER!
Matthew 18:19-20 says:
“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
Last, I too believe the same God who visited His people at Pentecost in Jerusalem wants to visit His church(believers) today.
My friend – we must do our part.
We must humble ourselves,
We must seek God’s face above all else,
We must turn to God and away from all known sin,
We must pray with fellow believers regularly in small and/or large groups,
We must persevere in all these things.
Let us hold on to faith, patience, and steadfast hope in the face of all that the enemy or godless world might throw at us.
Let us turn our eyes upon Jesus.
Then wait for God to do what only He can do.
In Jesus’ Name we pray.
