The Heart of Forgiveness…

Warmest Welcome To You Friend!

It is another WONDERFUL day the Lord has given us

and no matter what is in store for us today –

let us be encouraged by our FAITH in JESUS

and

know in our hearts that “all is well”.

Our scripture focus for today begins in the book of Psalm 32:1—

“Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.”

Friend, have you ever struggled with the need to forgive someone or ask forgiveness from someone?

It can be a very difficult place to be.

I’m led to share with you how the Lord has guided my steps when faced with this dilemma.

First, I get on my knees and PRAY.

I lift up everyone involved to the Lord – asking Him to please touch our hearts and minds to be obedient and do His will (FORGIVE) quickly!

Next, I read Psalm 46:10—

“Be still and know that I am God.”

These particular words give me great PEACE and JOY in any “storm” and/or when my heart is heavily burdened.

Then, knowing the Lord hears my prayer – I still myself and wait on His response/direction on the matter.

At this point – I often tend to visualize a possible outcome.

I image the telephone rings, breaking the stillness/silence and bringing with it a blessing:  the forgiveness of a friend or family member.  Our relationship is restored!  Within seconds, joy replaces the heavy burden in my heart and I thank the Lord!

Nothing breathes new life into our souls like forgiveness, whether we receive it or give it to another.  Amazingly, three small words take on a transforming power the moment they are uttered:

I forgive you.

How blessed we are when we hear these words! Forgiveness wraps us in a contentment that reaches deep into our heart.  The most surprising gift of forgiveness is that is triggers a reciprocal response.

In the moment we receive forgiveness, we are stirred to “do unto others” the very same thing.

Consider this thought my friend —

If the gift/blessing of another’s forgiveness can change us, imagine what God’s forgiveness can do.  PRAISE GOD!

Let us bow our heads and pray “Lord, thank you that we are yours – we love you and need you now and forevermore.”

Amen.

Finding Favor with God…

Welcome Welcome Welcome  to you – my Friend!

Blessings to you on this day that the Lord has made – let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Lord Jesus – we thank you that ALL IS WELL.

We thank you for Love and Laughter – Joy and Peace.

We thank you Lord for EVERYTHING.

Our Scripture focus today is from the book of Psalm – Chapter 17:8 —

“Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings.”

Friend – have you ever wondered if you matter to God?  If you are special to Him?

I know as a parent, we try never to have favorites among our children.

With the birth of each child comes a love from us tailor-made just for  him or her.

And in the Bible – David unflinchingly assumed he was the apple of God’s eye–a favored son.

From that place of special favor, he asked for the Lord’s protection.

Protected by the Lord ALWAYS brings to my mind

– a picture of a mother hen covering her little chicks

and whenever startled,

the chicks run quickly towards their mother, and she lifts a protective wing to hide them.

It is such a beautiful thought to me – it warms my heart to the core.

So then, what do you think – does God play favorites?

I say no.

believe God makes each one of us his favorite.

Only He alone is able to do that.

Be encouraged my friend and

Know in your heart that He is ever ready to lift a spreading wing to

cover you(us) with warmth and safety.

Lord, you are awesome!!!

Last thing – friend – be assured that when we realize just how SPECIAL we are to God,

the knowledge will give us the courage to pray for a continuously growing RELATIONSHIP with Him

where we may seek His face, not just His hand.

I am personally humbled, joyful, thankful and grateful for God’s goodness

and His grace, which endures forever and I am prayerful you are too.

Will you bow your head with me and let’s end with this prayer—

“Lord Jesus, your are mighty and marvelous – we LOVE you and PRAISE you forever and ever! “

Halleluiah!

Thank You!

Bless Your Holy Name.

Amen.

God’s Love and Will For Us!

Welcome Friend!

I am led once again to get right to the point/message I have for you on this day.

Our Scripture Focus begins with John 3:16 —

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

As we draw closer to Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday   –

We ought to willingly and gratefully pause often throughout each  day to pray and thank God for His Love

His love is unlimited and unconditional.

Let us rejoice and be very glad that nothing can ever separate us from His Love.

(Nothing “shall be able to separate us from the love of God…”  Romans 8:39)

Halleluiah!

We ought to also thank Jesus for shedding his blood to give us salvation and eternal life with our Father in heaven above-

Jesus paid a debt He did not owe

because

we had a debt – we could not pay.

Thank You JESUS!

God says we are to love Him with all our heart!

And secondly we are to love others as ourselves.

God’s will is that ALL love, share and offer help to each other.

Let us pray now asking God to help us be obedient and do His will – quickly.

Father God, thank you for your unconditional love and unfailing forgiveness.

Thank you for your grace and mercy Father.

Please touch our hearts and soften our stiff necks

So we may submit to you and surrender to your will.

Praise God!

Amen.
