Starting The Day With Him.

For the week:  August 29th – September 4th, 2010

It is wonderful that you are visiting today.  It may be the first time or again.  Which ever the case – blessings to you and may these words be encouraging or an inspiration as you continue on your journey seeking JESUS.

It is my firm belief that all who seek Him will find Him.

Praise God!

Today our Scripture Focus is: PSALM 88.13

“To You I cry; O Lord; and in the morning shall my prayer come to meet You.”

I heard it said that if you’re a soldier – to prepare for war – you’d be sure you have your orders and all the equipment you need to face  the battles ahead.

Well, it is the same for conflicts and struggles we face each day.  We’re often not quite sure how to handles all the situations and issues.

That’s why it is good to always start your day with God and commit all its troubles to his hands.

Remember that all your battles belong to him.  As your Commander, he’ll always lead you safely to triumph.

Thank you Lord!

Let’s bow our heads together and pray:

God, I’m glad you know what today holds.  Thank you for equipping me with everything I need to face everything that’s ahead.

You are truly wonderful!

The Unforgotten

August 23rd – August 29th  2010

Welcome Friend!

Praise the Lord for your visit today.  Your journey seeking JESUS is a blessing and the words here are intended to encourage and inspire you to continue on this path.

Our Scripture Focus this week is Psalm 82:3

Do you ever say to yourself — if I were gone, would anyone notice?

Even if you’ve never thought those words, I’m sure you can understand the sentiment behind them.

Sometimes people feel so POWERLESS and INSIGNIFICANT that they wonder if anyone care for them at all.

If you are aware of  anyone who may be feeling this way – please know that God does not forget them, and neither should you.

In fact, God may be calling you to be his representative of love and support to them.  Who do you know that needs a friend? Rather than forget about them, find out what you can do to better their situation.

Sometimes your listening ear, willing heart, and prayers can encourage a person more than you realize.  Because of you, they’ll know that God hasn’t forgotten them.

Let’s bow our heads together and pray:

Lord, is there someone you want me to help today? Please bring them to my mind and show me how to love them as you would.

Thank You Jesus!

His Name Is Our Help.

August 8 – 22, 2010

Welcome Friend!

Praise the Lord for your visit.  It is not a coincident.  I am always prayerful that the words you find here will encourage and inspire you as you continue on your journey seeking Jesus.

The Scripture Focus for this week is from the book of Psalms:

Psalm 124:8

“Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”

What sort of help do you need today?

No matter what it is – call upon God.  He is:

The Great I am — The God who is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  As he’s helped others in the past, he’ll help you.

El Shaddai — The Almighty God who defends you against every enemy or evil.

Yahweh Rapha — The God who heals all of your wounds.

Yaweh Yireh — He’s your provider who cares for all of your needs.

Yahweh Shalom — He himself is your peace.

Yaweh M’Kaddesh — He’s the one who makes you ready for salvation.

So call upon your wonderful God! He loves you greatly and he’s always ready to help you, no matter what you need.

Let up bow our heads together and pray:

God, your flawless character and wonderful name always perfectly provide for all my needs.  Your name is above every other, and I PRAISE you forever!

Are You Mad?

August 1st – August 7th, 2010

Welcome Friend and Shalom!

This is the day that the Lord has made – we will rejoice and be glad in it!

Halleluiah and Praises to God Always!

This Week’s Scripture Focus continues from the Book of Psalms which from my view contains a WEALTH of encouraging and inspiring words intended to help us on our journey seeking Jesus and a closer relationship with Him.

Psalm:  103:8

“The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and plenteous in mercy and loving-kindness.”

Do you know people who are angered by the littlest things? It seems like they’re always offended about something, and you’re never sure how to please them.

Sometimes that kind of personality is attributed to God because of his multitude of instructions in the Bible.  Yet nothing could be further from the truth.

God gives you rules because he loves you –  not because he’s easily offended.

He knows a holy life will ultimately be happier and healthier for you.

God doesn’t get angry as quickly or easily as people do.  Rather, he always treats you with compassion and grace.  So don’t fear that you’ve made him mad.

INSTEAD, rejoice that He loves you deeply.

Let us bow our heads together and pray:

Lord, thank you for your love, compassion and grace.  Thank you for being patient with me and for always forgiving me when I confess my offenses.  They seem to befall me more often that I’d wish.  Thank you Lord for your kindness too.  You are everything to me.
