Sisters and Brothers in Christ!
This is the day the Lord has made – let us REJOICE and be glad in it!
I am thankful for your visit and prayerful that you will be encouraged and inspired by the words here today.
Also, be prayerful to decide about your priorities in life (Luke 12:31 – “seek the kingdom of God, and all these things will be added to you”) as you continue on your journey seeking JESUS my Friend and Yours.
Let us pause and pray together for a moment now –
Father, forgive us when we choose the temporary over the EVERLASTING. Forgive us when we choose the superficial over the significant. O Lord we need thee. Help us to get it right as we journey together. Thank you Lord Jesus. Amen.
Our Scripture focus today is from Psalm 94: 12, 18-19 —
“How blessed the man you train, God, the woman you instruct in your Word…….The minute I said, “I’m slipping, I’m falling”, your love, God took hold and held me fast. When I was upset and beside myself, you calmed me down and cheered me up”.
Friend, spiritual lessons require practice — that’s the simple truth of the matter. You may believe you know everything necessary about faith or obedience, yet almost as soon as you express your confidence about that area, you’re plunged headlong into a situation that puts your understanding to the test.
Don’t be surprised– it’s through this process that what you’ve learned intellectually becomes a practical reality to you. It’s like a physical workout — your knowledge of the machines at the gym means nothing until you put it to use and actually do the exercises.
So today thank God for training you through your trials and strengthening your spiritual muscles. It’s preparation that you’ll certainly be glad to have!
Let’s bow our heads and pray together:
God thank you for stretching my faith in you and making it real. Thank you for always loving me and comforting me in every circumstance.
