Rest in God.

Welcome – Welcome My Friend!

I thank you for taking a moment to visit today.

It is truly a  blessing.

And I’m ever prayerful you will find the words here to be  encouraging and inspiring as you continue on your journey seeking JESUS – your Friend and mine.

PRAISE GOD!

I’m led today to share about resting in God and the blessings that come from it.

Our Scripture focus today is three-fold:

Starting first with Psalm 5: verse 3 —

“My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up.

Brothers and Sisters – spending time with the Lord every day is absolutely essential to our spiritual growth.

Rising early in the morning to talk with God works well for me.

It is said that if you meet the Lord before you meet anybody else, you’ll be “pointed in the right direction” for whatever comes.

But you have to plan it and stick with it!

It won’t just happen.

I highly recommend it and believe you will be blessed.

During these times – as I am still – listening for God’s voice in my heart  – He  reminds me that He loves me and He has a plan for my life.

Halleluiah!

Then, our second scripture is Psalm 23—

“The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell[a] in the house of the Lord
Forever.”

Isn’t it wonderful to know The Lord JESUS CHRIST is our Shepherd and He will take care of and provide for us!

Now our last scripture for today is Hebrews 4: 1-4—

The Promise of Rest

“For as long, then, as that promise of resting in him pulls us to to God’s goal for us, we need to be careful that we’re not disqualified.  We received the same promises as those people in the wilderness, but the promises didn’t do them a bit of good because they didn’t receive the promises with FAITH.  If we believe, though, we’ll experience that state of resting.  But NOT if we don’t have faith. ”

Yes Lord.

Please help us Lord to have FAITH in You.

Will you please bow your head and pray with me—

Father God, thank you for your LOVE, your grace and mercy and each blessing you’ve bestowed upon us.  We LOVE you!  We stand on your WORD Lord.  Please help us to TRUST and have FAITH in you with no doubt – and not to worry nor fear for you are with us (Immanuel – God with us).  Also Father God – please help us to remember your promise of rest and willingly move to enter into it – knowing when we do – we are safe in your Everlasting Arms and All is Well.

PRAISE GOD!

AMEN.
