God’s Boundaries…

My brothers and sisters your visit  is truly a blessing.

Thank you for stopping by.

I am ever prayerful that you will be

by the words here today as you continue on your journey seeking Jesus – your Friend and mine!

It is good to seek the Lord – God’s word says in Jeremiah 29:13 —

“And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”

My response is “yes Lord – I will seek you daily and thank you for each day you give me to do so.  hallelujah!”

The scripture focus almost always comes from the book of Psalms and today it is chapter 74 verse 17—

“You set all the limits on the earth.”

I read once that a fire is a wonderful thing–especially when cooking food or keeping warm.

But, if a fire gets out of control — it can be disastrous!

To avoid disaster in LIFE — one must focus on the boundaries set by God.

He has given us his 10 Commandments (Boundaries) to guide us safely through life on earth.   Our daily challenges and obstacles can be OVERWHELMING sometimes.  But, God knows all and is aware that too much of a good thing can be harmful and he wants his children (you and me) to live and not self-destruct.

I’m sure you know these by heart but just in case:

God’s 10 Commandments (at a glance)

Deuteronomy 5:6-21

  1. Have no other gods but God.
  2. Do not worship statues.
  3. Be careful with God’s name.
  4. Keep the Sabbath day special.
  5. Honor your father and mother.
  6. Do not murder.
  7. Keep your marriage promises.
  8. Do not steal.
  9. Do not lie.
  10.  Do not covet.

So, don’t be afraid of his laws/commandments/boundaries — they’ll always keep you safe and in HIS will – which is where we always want to be.

Let us end with a prayer —

God, thank you that your boundaries are not meant to limit us but protect us because you LOVE us.  Help us please to always abide by your life-giving commands and remember that you gave your only begotten Son Jesus Christ to save us  and scripture(Romans 10:13) says, “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Praise God!

Thank You!
