Today’s Scripture Focus is: Psalm 28:7
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to Him.”
You may have noticed the Book of Psalms is the main focus of this website/blog. It is because the psalms are all about trusting in God.
They were written by real people who had real emotions and real struggles. When they cried out to the living God, He truly helped them and vindicated their faith in Him.
Although the psalms are beautiful and poetic, they are the authentic feelings and experiences of people just like you and me. Just as the psalmist trusted in God and saw His victorious provision, so can you.
Whatever you are facing today—anger, apathy, fear, joy, contentment, or sorrow—there’s most likely a psalm that echoes your emotions.
And undoubtedly its conclusion is this: TRUST God. The psalmist did, and you should too. Really.
Let’s please bow our heads together and pray:
Lord, thanks you for the psalms—the testimonies of people who trusted you and saw your deliverance. I trust you Lord -You are truly most trustworthy.
