Revival — Spiritual Revival…

Blessings to you today my friend!

I’m so thankful you stopped by.

I’m continuing with our new format –

it is more conversational –

it is simply to be a time for sharing with you what God is teaching me about Himself and His ways

so

you too may draw closer to Him

and

know how much He loves you.

Our conversation today is about revival — spiritual revival — the fresh outpouring of God’s Spirit upon us.

A renewed walk with the living God.

Hallelujah!

My friend – God is calling us – He is urging us to turn from wickedness and spiritual apathy

and to discover again His love, forgiveness, and protection.

I read that what God speaks to nations – He first speaks to individuals – to you and me.

Our hearts should therefore cry out right NOW to the Lord as in Habakkuk 3:2 —

“Start revival in my nation, O Lord, by first starting it in me.”

The beautiful lyrics below are but one verse from a song that speaks about spiritual revival:

“Turn your eyes upon Jesus,

look full in His wonderful face,

and the things of earth will grow strangely dim,

in the light of His glory and grace.”

I believe in my heart that anyone who does this will NEVER be the same again

and will then begin to truly seek Jesus.

Jeremiah 29:13-14 —

“You will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.  I will be found by you, says the Lord.”

Personally, I know from experience that seeking God and being in His presence –

praying and listening for His still small voice -

helps me stay focused on Him

and

hear what He wants to do through me and in me.

Thus on today – I am led to speak about the REVIVAL of believers in churches.

Remembering on the day of Pentecost, the disciples were gathered together in one place, and their hearts were in one accord.

We too must gather together and pray with fellow believers with our hearts in one accord.

We must ask God to help us turn back to Him.

We must pray for a spiritual revival that transforms lives, empowers pastors, other leaders and electrifies believers with

Holy Ghost POWER!

Matthew 18:19-20 says:

“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.  For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

Last, I too believe the same God who visited His people at Pentecost in Jerusalem wants to visit His church(believers) today.

My friend – we must do our part.

We must humble ourselves,

We must seek God’s face above all else,

We must turn to God and away from all known sin,

We must pray with fellow believers regularly in small and/or large groups,

and finally

We must persevere in all these things.

Let us hold on to faith, patience, and steadfast hope in the face of all that the enemy or godless world might throw at us.

Let us turn our eyes upon Jesus.

Then wait for God to do what only He can do.

In Jesus’ Name we pray.

Amen.

Letter From God…

Welcome Friend!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Format is changed slightly on this day but know the words

shared

here are straight from my heart

and

inspired

by God – our Father

to encourage you and me as we continue on our journey seeking

His only Begotten Son

JESUS – our Lord and Savior.

Friend, I am an avid reader

and

I willingly rise early in the morning to begin my day spending time in God’s presence –

talking/praying,

studying His Word (Scripture)

and

listening for His still small voice guiding me.

It is a blessing and I praise and thank God continually.

I am NOTHING without God

and

I don’t want to be ANYTHING without God!

I have not always felt this way – God has “grown” me

through His Grace and Mercy.

and I say “GLORY to God” that I do now.

You may have heard that song or was it a saying? –

“I once was lost but now I’m found

I was blind but now I see…”

Whewwwww—thank you LORD!

Praise God! Praise God! Praise God!

Friend, I also know that I’m called by God to share the good news with

ALL

and specifically

YOU

reading our blog at this moment!

and

I am to

remind everyone of God’s

offer

of

FREEDOM

through

His only begotten Son

JESUS CHRIST!!!

Halleluiah

God loves us –

He wants the best for us

and

here below is a letter He shared with me (in my readings)

and

asked me to share with you

on our(God and me)

blog.

Oh Happy Day it is to obediently do His will and quickly!

It is a blessing and I joyfully share with you.

“My Dearest

I rejoice when you come to me(Zeph. 3:17)!  All I want to do is to rain down my blessings on you(Ps. 67:7).  Always put me first in your life above all others and this will allow me to take care of your circumstances and situations(Ps.16:31, Matt. 10:29).  Trust me…I am good, consistent and I never fail(Heb 13:8, Ps. 136).  I love you enough to sacrifice my Son for you(John 3:16).

I am not here to condemn you(John 3:17).  Don’t step over this gift I willingly lay down for you(Matt 26:1-5), John 10:15-18).  Seek me first and everything else will be added to you(Matt 6:33)  No situation and no person are greater than my power, my love, and my dominion(Ps.145).

Stop being anxious (Luke 12:27)!  You can’t earn my love, mercy, grace-these thing; I give freely (Eph 2:8-9).  I know all of you— I know all your secrets and your thoughts no one knows about you—and I love you still (Ps. 139)  Come to me!  I will never leave you or forsake you (Heb 13:5)  You don’t have to change to receive my love (Matt 5:5).

Your Father

Praises and Thanks be to our Father God.

Amen.

Are You Saved?

WELCOME!

Blessings to you

and

Thanks for stopping by today.

Truly I am prayerful that the words you find here are encouraging and inspiring

as you continue on your journey and path seeking our Savior –

JESUS

 – your Friend and mine.

Friend, the words shared today are even shorter than yesterday’s topic but still very direct.

Are you saved?

Do you know why we need to be saved?

My friend, it started in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve.

Our sin began there and we read about it in the book of Genesis.

It was not God’s perfect plan for us to sin,

but

God gave man a choice

and

man chose to disobey.

Man then needed a Savior to wipe the slate clean for us.

Our Savior is

JESUS.

He loves us so much that He died on the cross at Calgary to remove our every sin and wrongdoing.

Also,

here is MORE GREAT NEWS

after we’re saved

and we sin

the Bible says we are to CONFESS it to know the full measure of forgiveness and fellowship with God.

This my friend is a blessing from God!

Halleluiah!!!

Now, knowing all of this –

I am praying that you want to be saved –

AND

you can be saved right now.

First, read the scripture Romans Chapter 10: 9-10 —

“if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Then,

pray (talk with God) and say to Him from your heart that you are a sinner and that you believe Jesus died for your sins.

Tell Him that you need Him.

Thank Him for His love and for saving you today.

Last,

ask Him to please help your unsaved family members and friends all over the world to believe too.

Praise God!

Thank You God!

Amen.

The Way To God?

Welcome Friend!

Thank you for visiting today.

It may be your first visit or a return visit – but nonetheless – I am always ever prayerful that the words here will encourage and inspire you as you continue on the journey and path seeking JESUS – your Friend and mine.

My brothers and sisters – this sharing today may be one of the shortest and most direct you’ll find posted here to date and it is because when asked – what is “the way to God?” – my only response is – through JESUS.

My two word response is based on our scripture focus today from the book of John chapter 14:1-6 —

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.

In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself;

that where I am, there you may be also.

And where I go you know, and the way you know.”

Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life.

No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

Thank you JESUS!

Friend, simply put – the way to life – to God – is vigorous and requires our TOTAL attention.

Don’t assume we’ll sit down to God’s salvation banquet just because we’ve been hanging around the ‘neighborhood”(showing up at church on Sundays) all our lives.

No my friend, God’s Word assures us that it does not work that way.

Instead, we may find we missed God’s salvation banquet and are now banging futilely on a closed door – wanting to get into God’s salvation banquet hall, but it is locked and the Master is saying, “Sorry you’re not on the guest list.”

Let us ask God to please help us to stay focused on Him so our names will be found on His salvation banquet guest list.

Will you please bow your head and pray with me —

Father God, we need you and love you.  We know the Bible is Your Word – intended to teach and guide us.  Thank You for putting it in our hands.  It is a blessing.  Please put in us the desire to do your will and to study your word with reverence and humility.  Help us to pray, believe and trust in You and seek You diligently each day.

In Jesus’ Name we pray.

Praise God!

Thank God!

Amen.

Praying For Unbelief Of Others…

A Warm Welcome  to you today friend!

Thanks for stopping by.

This may be your first visit or you decided to return – whichever it is – know that I am prayerful as always that the words here are encouraging and inspiring – ones that you will remember as you continue your journey on the path seeking our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ – your Friend and mine.

It is on my heart to share/talk about praying for DOUBT and UNBELIEF in ourselves and others closest to us – our friends and family members.

Our scripture focus/reading on topic of UNBELIEF is first from the book of Mark Chapter 9:21-24—

“Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has he been like this?”

“From childhood,” he answered.  “It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”

“‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”

Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

Friends, I’ve read that UNBELIEF controls much of the church and it saddens me greatly.  I see it clearly and wonder why we can not seem to permanently shake it off.  Some say it is because we’ve prayed and waited so long that we are no longer convinced God really will do it (ANSWER OUR PRAYERS.)

But if we don’t BELIEVE God will answer our prayers, we may not pray as God asks us –  joyfully, thankfully and without ceasing:

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

(1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18)

Others say pride is involved and causes(blinds) unbelievers to think their(self) knowledge is greater than God’s.

So how do we deal with this situation – the veil/blindness of pride brought about by the enemy?

We must remember and refresh ourselves continually with God’s Word knowing that we have weapons that are “DIVINELY POWERFUL.”

BELIEVE my friend – that these weapons, empowered by GOD, will work miracles!!!

And in this instance – as we pray for others and ourselves – we must first read and hold fast to the scripture below – 2 Cor. 10:3-5 —

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,”

Then, we should pray and ask God to:

  • PREPARE THE PERSON’S HEART – SO IT WILL BE “GOOD SOIL” FOR THE SEED(Mark 4:8)
  • KEEP THE ENEMY FROM STEALING THE SEEDS OF TRUTH(Mark 4:15)
  • ALLOW HIS WORD TO BECOME REVELATION THROUGH THE LIFTING OF THE VEIL/BLINDNESS(2 COR. 4:3-4 AND EPHESIANS 1:17)
  • BREAK THE ROOT OF PRIDE(2 COR. 10:3-5)
  • BRING THE PERSON/US TO TRUE REPENTANCE(2 PETER 3:9)

Lastly, my friend – Repentance(biblical repentance) means to have a new knowledge or understanding – a change of mind given by God.

(Halleluiah)

It reverses the effects of the fall through Adam and it will produce God-centered Christians, not self centered ones.

In Acts 26:18 Paul said he was called “to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light.”

We (each of us) can help our friends and family members have this new knowledge(repentance)

by

INTERCESSION

(a prayer to God)

Interceding on behalf of another is a good thing to do.

It is a true blessing for all.

Our prayers play a role in the lifting of the veil(revelation), which allows for the heart to be enlightened.

God loves us – ALL of us.

I too believe He really does want to save those dear to us.

Therefore, we MUST pray and believe that

GOD ANSWERS PRAYER!!!

Let us bow our heads together and pray:

Father God, we love you  and need you – we know all things are possible if we believe in YOU – please help our unbelief – please take it from us Lord God and we will remember to give you all the glory, honor and praise.”  In the name of your Son – Jesus – we pray and give thanks to You and You alone.”

Amen.

Living By God’s Grace.

A Joyful Welcome To You

and as always

Thanks

for stopping by for it is my highest hope that you will be encouraged and inspired

as you continue on the path of your journey seeking Jesus Christ  – your friend and mine.

Friend, let me please share with you that

reading God’s Word is first on my list of things I love to do.

Second is reading in general.

Third is writing – where I believe I am giving insight and information I receive from the Lord as I walk with Him each day.

I see it as a wonderful blessing from God for me and all visitors to this site.

Today – our blessing is about living by grace – God’s Grace.

Our scripture focus is from the book of Philippians – chapter 4 verse 13:

“I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”

The question for you today is – have you been through tough times recently, trials and

tribulations where you’ve tried to just grit your teeth and somehow get through a tough situation?

I want you to know that God offers a much better way to live, and that is by grace – His grace.

To live by grace is to realize that you can’t handle life’s problems on your own, and need

your Maker’s help;  you need Him to enable you to do what you could not do in your own strength.

Do you find yourself living by “grit” instead of by “grace”?

I admit to you that I do and confess it over and over, but the great news is that Jesus forgives me every time -

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

(1 John 1:9)

Friend, the more I seek Jesus – the more I learn to live by grace, and more importantly – the more free I am to love and serve Him.

If you’ve tried and failed – all you need to do right now is choose to start over – try again.

Here is an easy acronym I read about to help remember the steps in making this choice:

L-I-F-E

L   –  Let go of wrong thinking and expectations (Hebrews 6:19)

Basically, be emotionally anchored and stop expecting others to change and/or circumstances to change quickly.

Instead, put all your hope in our unchanging and faithful God.

I  –  Influence others for Christ daily (1 Peter 4:10)

Essentially, be someone who draws others to Christ by the way we act, speak and live our daily lives.

Know that influencing others for Christ is what we are called to do on this earth.

F  –  Forgive other quickly (Ephesians 4:31-32)

Forgiving others is one of the most important AND most difficult ways we can pass on God’s grace to others.

We are not doing it because they deserve it or they were right in their actions BUT we are to do it because

Jesus Christ forgave us!

We are to pass on the grace, the undeserved favor of God, to those who hurt us,

out of love and gratitude to our Savior.

E  –  Express praise continually (Hebrews 13:15)

Do you know why PRAISE is so important in the believer’s life?

  • You can’t be bitter and praise God at the same time.
  • Praise defeats the enemy.
  • Praise is an act of obedience to God.
  • Praise turns your thoughts from your problems to God’s power.
  • Praise keeps your heart in fellowship with the Lord.

Friend, will you determine before God, to make these four life choices each day?

I pray you will.

I believe if you choose to live by them – God will turn your life around

and

help you give up “grit” and live by His amazing “grace”.

Let us bow our heads together and pray:

Father God, please give us the desire to please YOU and help us to live by your grace.  Please help us to be thankful for your grace and give us the willingness to pass it on to others.  Also Lord – help us to forgive others quickly and live our lives as you would have us live – loving one another and excited about influencing others for Christ.  We can’t do it without you Father God but we know we can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens us – with God all things are possible.

Praise God!

Thank You God!

Amen.

Prayer Without Words…

WELCOME!

Blessings to you

and

Thanks for stopping by today.

Truly I am prayerful that the words you find here are encouraging and inspiring

as you continue on your journey along the path seeking

JESUS

 – your Friend and mine.

Friend, God has given each of us at least one GIFT

Prayer is one of mine

and

I am exceedingly grateful to God for blessing me with it.

Prayer is communication with God.

It is the linking up of our soul and mind and heart to Him.

Prayer changes all.

Never weary in prayer.

Spend much time there

and

Remember -

Words are not required.

The key is simply being in His Presence -

Joyfully and Willingly Trusting in Him.

Faithfully standing on His Word.

Knowing He Loves us(you)

and

gave His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to save us(you).

Psalm 46:10 reminds us to “be still and know that I am God.”

Yes Lord.

Hallelujah!

Let us please bow our heads together and pray —

Father God, we praise you and thank you for all things – especially your Son Jesus and Your love for us.  We are sinners standing in the need of prayer Lord God and we are asking that you hear us as we cry out to you for your continued love, help and guidance.  In the Name of Jesus we pray and give thanks to You.

PRAISE God!

Thank You Jesus!

Amen.
